Facebook Live Stream on Android and iOS in Landscape mode
STOP going live in portrait mode!
That’s what gives you weird bars on the side. When your viewers click to watch the video, the bars disappear, and the video is super thin.
Instead, turn your phone sideways – in landscape mode – to get a widescreen video. So much better looking and more professional.
iOS users can see the landscape shooting mode in Facebook Live in app version 77.0.
You MUST turn your phone into landscape mode BEFORE you go live on your iPhone. You can’t start the stream and THEN turn it. It won’t change, and you’ll be sideways to your viewers.
In Your iPhone go to:
1. Go to your “Settings” on your iPhone.
2. Click “Display & Brightness”
3. Go down to “View” and change this to Standard.
You need to update to Android app version 22.214.171.124.71 at least
